All of the intervals needed to play any scale or chord around any root note, on any string, on any fret, can be found using the simple fingering pattern below:

This pattern is not only moveable up and down the FRETS of the neck (horizontally), it is also "rotatable" across the STRINGS of the neck. The root note When you run out of notes
If any portion of the pattern lands on strings 2-3, shift the pattern apart 1 fret: move the 2nd and 1st strings UP 1 fret, or move the 3rd and all lower strings DOWN 2 fret.
